Gravity

Is it just me that gravitates towards certain color combinations? The comfortable favorites that evoke some sort of feeling that is difficult to describe but yet is almost tangible?

For a long time, many of my pieces seem to be made up of various red/pink shades with green/blue complements. The third color is usually a neutral, such as the creamy white pearls accompanying the pink pearls and sparkling blue crystals in Principessa:

Or the bronze pearls offsetting the bright blue and burnt red-orange in Sahara:

Another cream to accompany a pinky-orange and a green-blue in Sedona:

Copper and gray with pink and blue in Tropical Sunset:

This one is a little different... purple to go with the pink and blue-green in Ellen's Flower Box Bracelet (but the silver is a neutral):

Even this Celtic Watch uses a variation on the theme (and I didn't even pick out the colors!)... cream, pink, and gray, with silver accents:

I have no doubt that I will be revisiting the color combinations here again and again. Something about them evokes some emotion in me that has yet to be defined. Some memory, perhaps, or a pleasant dream I once had. Who knows. Either way, it's all gravity.
