Netted Rope

Before Christmas, we were snowed in for 3 days without power. I needed something to do, so I worked on this necklace. I had wanted to make it since the retreat in Robbinsville in early November and finally had a block of time to do it. I ran out of pearls, thus the herringbone section at the back of the necklace. I might try to find more pearls the same color so that I can finish it properly.
Cubism Bracelet

This bracelet is woven in St. Petersburg stitch. The clasp is made from two of the shapes in Diane Fitzgerald's Shaped Beadwork.I am part of the ArtBeads blogging community and was given the opportunity to choose beads from their Glass Beads or Sterling Silver Beads categories.
While I am always tempted by silver, I couldn't resist these square-cut Delicas. They are teeny tiny and oh so gorgeous! I was a little disappointed in their lack of uniformity... being Delicas, I expected them to be very uniform, but they weren't. In the 5 grams or so I used, I had to throw out 3 and several more were a bit wonky. That being said, I still love them! I can't wait until they are back in stock and I can get some other colors. :)
*Please note: I have received the above beads free of charge from Artbeads. This is my honest review of the product and I have not been paid for my endorsement as it pertains to the products received.

Inchies Done
I finished the last of my 12 inchies for the 2008-2009 BJP. :) Here are the last 2:
Now to decide how to finish them. I have had several suggestions. They are too big for a charm bracelet, and I don't know if I have the patience to make necklaces for all of them if they are going to be pendants. I might go with my original idea to make beaded cubes out of them. Just have to decide what method I'll use to stitch them together.Labels: bead embroidery, bead journal project, bjp, inchies
